1) Teacher Leader Program
Teams of 21st Century Schools educators will work with your educators to develop and teach the program. The 21st Century Schools team is led by Anne Shaw, Director of 21st Century Schools will provide in-country face-to- face training taking place in a selected city.
The 'train the trainers' program supports expert teachers and lecturers who will have been nominated to become trainers of your country's teachers. These sessions will be conducted through collaborative group work and dialogic teaching and learning. We model alternative pedagogies so that the principles of the program are exemplified and experienced by the prospective trainers before they introduce these into your classrooms. We will also spend time critically reviewing the approaches in the light of teachers’ and trainers’ own professional contexts so that the materials are appropriate for your country's context. The prospective trainers will carry out school based work in their home area and work alongside classroom based teachers.
2) In-service Short Courses for Teachers and School Leaders
These courses are university accredited in the United States; attendees may obtain graduate university credit by taking these courses and completing additional work after the original training session.
